18F Agile Delivery Services

The Agile Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is a new contracting vehicle from 18F Consulting awarded to 16 US software companies, including DSoft Technology.  Built in the spirit of America's top tech startups, 18F is a team of top-notch designers, developers, and product specialists inside the GSA, headquartered at 18 and F streets in Washington, D.C.  For years, the federal government has used the waterfall product development methodology.  In July, 2012, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) studied and recommended the use of agile practices.  Agile is an approach that federal agencies are increasingly using to develop software in increments, typically in a few weeks to a few months, rather than wait years until such a project is delivered.  Funds will be obligated by placement of individual task orders via purchase orders or government-wide purchase card.  This BPA expires 5 years from date of award or at the end of the Multiple Award Schedule contract period, whichever is earlier.
