About SyRIS

Good engineering requires discipline, adherence to well-architected requirements and solid documentation. DSoft Technology's System Requirements and Issues Software (SyRIS™) is a practical, proven, web-based project collaboration tool developed internally for use by DSoft's customers and staff to stay on top of the intricate complexities of Project Management, and is fully customizable for any project's specific needs.

Running against a secure SQL Server™ database and accessible over the Internet through user/password authentication, DSoft Technology uses SyRIS to document, track, and report the full life cycle development efforts of high quality software and systems engineering projects. Complete with capabilities to manage project participants, tasks, and hours spent, SyRIS is easily used to track all project costs, efforts, and status.

The Requirements and Issues modules allow team members to document, view and manage the full software development life cycle of a project from Analysis, Requirements, and Development, through Testing, System Deployment, and Documentation. The Project Events calendar informs project team members of project meetings, deadlines and events. Project requirements and tasks are chained together using a sophisticated matrix of Business Needs, Requirements, and Business Rules which flow seamlessly through a documented approval process providing Q&A, Out-of-Scope, and Prioritization tracking and history. Issues are also reported over the standard web interface. Each issue is mapped to a two-dimensional criticality matrix which proactively drives development solutions for both bugs and enhancement requests through a combination of Customer Urgency and System Criticality factors. Automated Email Notification features notify project managers and senior engineers of critical events, real-time. Easy to use queries, reports, and status screens assist anyone to easily find the project information they need to do their job and to keep the project on track.

SyRIS is available online, anytime, anywhere, and free of charge to all our clients engaged from moderately-sized to larger development projects. SyRIS incorporates industry best practices and techniques advocated by the Software Engineering Institute, the W3C standards, and utilizes the latest in Microsoft™ secure extranet technologies.
