David A. Hollenbach
Mr. Hollenbach is the President and General Manager at DSoft Technology. He has worked on a variety of systems engineering and information technology projects. His domain experience ranges from working on military, civil and commercial sector space-related projects as an engineer/analyst and operator to commercial and government application development projects as a systems engineer and project manager.
David graduated with military and academic distinction from the US Air Force Academy in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics and later received his Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering (emphasis on Reliability and Maintainability, Operations Research, mechanical engineering and systems integration) from the Air Force Institute of Technology. During his military career, he worked in systems engineering of space launch and information systems, systems analysis, program management, government contracting, space operations (Shuttle, DSP-SBIRS, GPS, MILSATCOM, and spacelift), and on the Moorman "Access to Space Study". He was also an operations analyst and strategic planner, supporting multiple joint and Air Force space and cyber-centric wargames and exercises. Upon separation from the Air Force, David joined Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc. where he worked on a variety of projects as an engineer and assignment lead on commercial communications satellite systems development, military and civil space system development and operations analysis and IT-related development projects. He culminated his career at Booz-Allen acting as proposal area lead for the NASA CSOC project, helping the corporate team win the multi-billion-dollar project. In 1998, he co-authored Applied Modeling and Simulation: An Integrated Approach to Development and Operation, published by McGraw-Hill as part of the Space Technology Series of textbooks.
David retired as an Air Force Lt Col with his last assignment being the IMA to the Commander of the Global SATCOM Support Center. David is an Air Force Level III Certified Acquisition Professional and holds the Master Space Operator rating. He is a graduate of Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College, and Air War College. David produced articles for MORS, SAME, ASME, and the AIAA. David is active in Scouting, the USAFA Association of Graduates, local community, Disabled American Veterans, and high school/YMCA basketball and lacrosse. He has been married for 30 years and has two sons. David is a member of a C12 CEO Peer Group in Colorado and sits on the advisory board at the UALR Data Science Center in Little Rock, AR. He is a disabled veteran. David's personal purpose: "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to me and to lead with integrity and excellence."
