Human Factors Specialist
This candidate will provide human factors support related to systems, facilities, and interfaces. This candidate will apply the understanding of human capabilities and limitations to the design, development, and evaluation of systems, facilities, and services. The human factors position must have documented experience with system development including the use of prototypes and experience in working with user groups. The candidate must have documented evidence of skills in research, writing, and presenting results such as through published work and conference presentations. The experience for this position must show evidence that the candidate can work independently applying human factors knowledge and skill rather than following a predefined script to accomplish the tasks. The candidate must have at least a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, and 5 years relevant experience or a PhD in a relevant field and 3 years relevant experience. Relevant fields for degrees include cognitive psychology, experimental psychology, human factors, ergonomics, applied psychology, cognition and perception. Security clearance not required, but must be a US citizen and clearable.
